Here is a project that
is sure to be a hit at a guild meeting or potluck supper!
|
First, visit your local supermarket and
head to the dairy section to check out the current "Slice
and Bake" cookie designs. The design shown here is no longer
available, but there are usually one or two promising choices.
Make sure the dough is very cold, and use
a sharp, thin knife. Slice off 6 slices, keeping them together.
|
|
Turn the stack
upright and cut into 6 segments. Each wedge-shaped stack is a
"cookie kit"! |
|
On the cookie
sheet, arrange the wedges from each "cookie kit" to
make a new design. (You may need to re-slice them to separate
the layers.) Press the edges together gently. Bake as directed
on the package. |
|
As Martha S. will tell you, presentation
is everything, so use a special plate. Bon Apetit!
(A note about the plate: it is a Dansk
design that unfortunately is no longer produced. I have just
a few, and no, I don't want to sell them!)
